Dry Bar Comedy‪+‬ 12+

I have been hooked on Dry Bar Comedy since it appeared on Facebook. Mary Mack, Alex Velluto, Greg Morton - those are just three of my many favorites. The comedy is clean, and if one finds a few very subtle sexual innuendos here and there so be it. No one is dropping the f-bomb in Dry Bar comedy. No one is cursing just to be cursing like many so-called comedians do to entertain the drunks. I think it takes a lot more talent to be funny without resorting to swearing every five words, and Dry Bar proves it. Do yourself and favor download this app. The comedians are very funny, the app is easy to use, and it is definitely something a Christian can watch without feeling compromised. If Alex Velluto reads this, my wife and I will be attending the Dry Bar Comedy Tour when it comes to Peoria, IL in May. I hope to get an autograph or a picture! Keep up the great work, and thanks for keeping me laughing!

Watched quite a few of the shows on Facebook, decided to get the app. The comedians are hysterical and I’m so glad there are so many to choose from. HOWEVER the app is incredibly slow and buggy. It rarely ever lets me skip ahead (which I have to do when I try to continue watching a video where I left off...so it starts you over and then is so buggy it won’t let me fast forward), I attempted the laugh button—no go. And most of the time I can’t even watch full screen because it won’t convert and just plays a small screen with the pause button and back/forward a few seconds buttons over the screen...which I can rarely ever get to go away. And then if I want to pause it...it doesn’t pause despite the massive pause button that lives over the clip almost at all times (and if it goes away, it’s a fluke, it seems).

I’m so disappointed. This app has some great potential, but there needs to be some changes to make it actually usable and with watching it here and not just on Facebook watch—which is where I will be watching the comedy from now on. (Maybe I’ll check back in occasionally to see if anything has improved...I hope so!)

—iPhone user. I do have an iPhone 6, so maybe that has something to do with it...but if I’ve updated the latest version of software and I don’t have any issues on any other app, I would hope it’s not necessarily my phone that’s causing issues.

I absolutely LOVE the comedy. Many of these have me in stitches and I watch almost every day during lunch to “keep it real”. However, since the last update the UI is TERRIBLE. As a few others I’m have stated, when you open the app, there is a random short clip that automatically starts playing. But you have to wait for it to buffer then start, then pause it so you can go to the actual videos. Otherwise it will just continue to play in the background. Also, although there is an indicator on each video in the full (long) list of videos of which ones you’ve watched, there is no longer a separate section of videos you’ve watched or videos you’ve started and would like to finish. So if I started an older video yesterday, I either have to remember which on it was and search for it, or scroll through the long list until I find it again. I’d much rather have a section that simply shows videos I haven’t finished yet like they had before the update. And that “home” screen with the video clips that start automatically is completely useless. Developers: please get rid of that silly home screen and bring back the ability to easily see the videos I’ve started without having to scroll through all of them. Thanks!
